Share a conversation

Create a link

1. Open the chat and choose Share (it appears once the chat has messages).
2. Choose who can see it:
   • Unlisted — only people with the link.
   • Public — anyone with the link, and it can be listed on your public profile (see Embed a chat and your public profile).
3. Choose Snapshot or Live with Keep this share updated:
   • Snapshot (the default) — frozen as it is now. Messages you send later won’t appear.
   • Live — the page updates as you keep chatting.
4. Optionally Require a password (8 characters or more) and set Expires: Never, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
5. Choose Create share link, then Copy.

Each chat has one link. Opening Share again shows the existing link.

What people see

A read-only page with the chat’s title, your messages and the replies, and the Served by label on each reply. A compacted chat shows its compaction card and summary.

Not included: attached files, generated images, the models’ thinking, sources, costs, and your instructions. Viewers don’t need an account.

Change or revoke a link

Settings → Shared links lists your links. For each you can Copy link, Open, Edit (switch Live/Snapshot, visibility, password or expiry) or Revoke. A revoked link stops working straight away.

Deleting a chat turns off its share link (Snapshot or Live) — the shared page and any embed stop working. If you restore the chat with Undo, the link stays off — share the chat again if you need to.

While your account is scheduled for deletion, all your share links are paused; they come back if you cancel the deletion.

Share isn’t available in incognito chats or in Compare.
