Where you're signed in: devices and sessions

See your devices

Go to Settings → Account → Where you’re signed in. Each row shows:

  • the device, for example “Chrome on macOS”, or the Knecty app if you installed it;
  • roughly where it is (city and country, when known) and its IP address;
  • when it was last active.

The device you’re using now is marked This device.

Sign out a device

  • Sign out on a row signs out that device.
  • Sign out of all other sessions signs out everything except this device.

If you see a device you don’t recognise, sign it out, then change your password (or, if you sign in with an email code or Google, secure that email account).

New sign-in emails

When your account is signed in from a new device or browser, we email you with the device, place and time, and a link to this page. If it wasn’t you, sign that session out.

How long you stay signed in

A device stays signed in while you keep using it. One you haven’t used for a long time is signed out automatically.

These also sign you out elsewhere:

  • changing or resetting your password (you stay signed in on the device you used);
  • confirming your email address for the first time.
