Compare models side by side

Compare sends the same prompt to several models at once, so you can see how they differ.

Start a compare

1. Choose Compare in the sidebar.
2. Pick a model for each column. A compare starts with two; use Add model for up to 3.
3. Type your prompt and send. Every column answers at the same time.

Sync scroll (on by default) scrolls all columns together. On a phone, columns become tabs.

Follow-ups

Keep typing to send a follow-up to every column. Each model only sees its own earlier answers, not the other models’ answers.

• You can add a column later; it joins from the next round.
• Columns can only be removed before the first round.
• Stop stops every column.
• Retry on a column re-asks that model in the latest round, if it didn’t finish.

What it costs

Each column is its own request, billed like a normal message from that model. Three columns cost roughly what three separate messages would. Each column shows its own Served by label and cost.

Carry on with one answer

Choose Continue in chat on any column’s answer. Knecty opens a normal chat containing your prompts and that model’s answers only, so you can carry on with the model you liked best. Copying the history over isn’t charged again.

What compare doesn’t do (yet)

Compare is for text. There’s no attaching files, no web search, no image models, and no editing a sent prompt. Compacting, sharing, exporting and incognito aren’t available in a compare. Compares appear in your Recents, and you can move them into a project.
